early prototypish Mattress when he was broke and also cheap and unrefined. They call it "raw". Very tape hiss. Released on CDR label. Rumor is, label guy dubbed the album off his boombox. I gave him a cassette with these songs. He plopped that in his boombox, squeezed a mic against the flimsy speaker, hit play and dumped that in his computer. CDRs we're cheaper than cassettes. There ya go. That No-Def Sound buzz buzz
